10 Goals for 2013

These are the top 10 things I hope to achieve in 2013:

Fitness
1. Place top 3 in a local show
2. Continue moving up the Competitive Ranks.
3.STRETCH regularly
4. Resume running-becasue it is meditative and quiets my mind.

Family
3.Be useful and supportive to my sister as she plans/executes her wedding
4.Spend more QUALITY time with those I cherish

Personal
5. Silence the tantrum-throwing 5-year old in my head that always wants her own way.
6. Follow through on what I say I am going to do with grace (or don't agree to it in the first place).

Financial
7. Create a (fluid) budget and adhere to it.

Miscellaneous
8. Give blood with regularity (I am O-negative)
9. Show gratitude daily
10. Resume Writing

10 weeks post-surgery

I am still experiencing a lot of tooth pain...oddly enough I can't feel my gums at all, even if I poke them. However my teeth hurt just from brushing (like that exposed nerve feeling). Eating is more of a frustration than anything. I hate that everything gets stuck in my braces and trapped along my gum line because my tongue can't reach down to clear it out. I really just want this whole process finished...braces and all. I don't want anymore excuses to not achieving my competition goals.

TRANSITIONS

So I am leaving behind the raw food approach, as I feel it has served me as far as it can. I am transitioning back into my more "normal" eting style fo 5-6 small meals a day with protein and lean carbs. I also went for a 40 mintue walk/jog combo along the newly paved nature trail behind my house! It was simply splended!! I LOVE FALL! It is truly the most beautiful season, with the absolute best weather.

Spent the last 4 hours amrking for school, but honestly didn't mind because I had spent one hour exercising in the great outdoors and that seemed to rejuvinate and energize me for the task at hand. It's amazing how physical exercise can make you sooo much more productive in your day to day life!

Holy breakouts Batman!

So, apparently a diet heavy in fruit in veg creates a serious facial freakout...or at least I hope this is part of the detoxification! I haven't had a breakout this bad in years...not so adorable on top of my still chipmunk-like face.

Dark Chocolate!! 'Nough said...hunger pains departed!

So-Far Raw

Made my veggie/lemon/apple mix for "breakfast" this morning. Had a strawberry/pineapple gazpacho for snack and the delicious "Thanksgiving-in-a-glass" for lunch. At present I have to admit I am HUNGRY and craving anything I could actually sink my teeth into. Oddly enough, my jaw is really hurting today and I don't think I could chew anything anyways, so it seems like I chose the right day to really commit to the "juicing-cleanse". We'll see how the evening plays out.

First "Elixirs"

I started the day with a concoction I prepared yesterday! A carrot juice and sweet potato blend with some pumpkin pie spice...absolutely to die for! Like Thanksgiving in a glass!!

At present, since it is later and won't wake sleeper-in-ers up I have freshly prepared a mix of lemon,apple,celery,kale and garlic...delicious and full of ENERGY giving VITAMINS!
