Although I have the basic facilities for a gym in my house, I decided that I needed more options for back training, so have opted to go to a real gym once a week specifically for that purpose. So, today was that day, and man was I ever re energized, just to be in a gym...change of scene and all that!
So my new plan has me on a 3-day split, so I worked my back with my biceps today...and let me tell you, does that ever destroy your bis...by the time I got to them I was struggling to lift 4kg for the required reps. Done on a separate day I can crank out 6kgs easy...so at least I know this way they are really getting a work-out. So, is my lower back, boy is it sore...but good, yeah! loving the pain!!
As usual I am absolutely starving today and counting down the minutes until my next feed, this is typical on a weight training day, and although I'm allowed a bit more food on these days it never feels like enough. This is particularly interesting as on cardio-only days I usually struggle to get in all the meals I'm suppose to for feeling too full. But not on weight days, which for me is proof enough that the way to change your body is to lift weights, as obviously it burns up more energy, hence the hunger! Or as my trainer would like me to believe: the more hungry you are means the more fat you are burning...not sure I've reached that enlightened state yet, I'd rather be burning fat and feeling full too.
Elsewise I am happy and energetic, but I haven't done my cardio yet today, so we shall see...
